Does Starbucks Have a Military Discount?

Verified 2026

Starbucks gives veterans, active military, and their families a free tall brewed coffee every Veterans Day (November 11) at participating US stores, café or drive-thru — no app redemption, one per customer.

One Day a Year, Not a Standing Discount

This is an annual Veterans Day event rather than a year-round discount: a free 12oz (tall) hot or iced brewed coffee, in café or drive-thru only, with proof of military service. It's limited to one coffee per customer per visit and can't be redeemed through the Starbucks App. Starbucks has paired this in recent years with a company donation (historically split between the Wounded Warrior Project and the USO). Outside of Veterans Day, Starbucks has no standing military discount — its free Rewards program is open to any age or status.
