Starbucks Holiday Hours
Starbucks holiday hours vary more than almost any other major brand — because roughly 4 in 10 Starbucks locations aren't run by Starbucks itself. Here's what to know before you head out.
Company-Operated vs. Licensed Locations — Why It Matters
Starbucks stores fall into two very different categories. Company-operated stores are run directly by Starbucks and follow Starbucks' own holiday schedule. Licensed locations — inside Target, grocery stores (Kroger, Albertsons, and others), airports, hospitals, universities, and hotels — are run by the host business and follow *its* hours instead, not Starbucks corporate policy. According to our own store data, roughly 39% of the active Starbucks locations we track (about 6,600 of 16,700) are licensed rather than company-operated. If your local Starbucks is inside a Target or grocery store, its holiday hours will match that store, not the schedule below. Check your specific store's page — we flag licensed locations directly.
These patterns apply to company-operated stores only — licensed locations (see above) follow their host business instead. Even among company-operated stores, exact hours vary by location; airport and travel-hub stores in particular often stay open on days when standalone stores close. Confirm your specific store before visiting.
