1. Store locations, addresses and hours

The primary source for every store is the retailer itself: its public store locator and official website. We collect the address, phone number, opening hours and GPS position, then match each record against what we already have using the street address and coordinates, so an existing store is updated in place instead of duplicated. Stores that no longer appear in the retailer's own data are marked as closed; new ones are added.

2. Cities, states and ZIP codes

Place names, populations and ZIP codes come from US Census Bureau and GeoNames reference data. A store is assigned to the city its address actually falls in, not to a nearby larger city, and obvious data errors (placeholder coordinates, mismatched city and ZIP) are detected by automated checks and fixed.

3. Written descriptions and guides

The descriptive text on brand, city and store pages, and the guides about holiday hours, return policies, price matching, senior and military discounts and curbside pickup, are written from structured, factual inputs (the store data above and each retailer's published policy). We use AI-assisted drafting to write them at scale, but each text is generated for one specific brand, city or store, checked by automated validation rules, and is not allowed to invent addresses, hours or prices: if the underlying facts are missing, the text is left out rather than guessed.

4. Closed stores

Closed stores keep their page with a clear "permanently closed" notice so that existing links remain useful and visitors are pointed to open locations nearby.

5. Corrections

If you find an error, contact us with the page URL and the correct information. We verify it against the retailer's own data and fix it in the next refresh; pages show the date they were last updated.

6. Independence and advertising

StoresInfo.com is independent and free to use. It is funded by advertising (Google AdSense). Retailers cannot pay to change their listing, ranking or description. We are not affiliated with any retailer listed; brand names and logos belong to their owners.
