PetSmart closes on just two chain-wide holidays a year — Thanksgiving and Christmas Day — but its grooming salons and in-store Banfield Pet Hospitals often run their own separate hours from the main store, even on regular days.
Grooming and Vet Clinic Hours Aren't the Same as Store Hours
Many PetSmart locations have an in-store grooming salon and a Banfield Pet Hospital, and both typically run on their own schedules rather than the main store's hours — grooming often opens before the store does and closes earlier, while Banfield clinics set independent hours entirely. That means even on a day the store is fully open, your groomer or vet appointment window can be narrower, and this gap can matter even more around holidays.
