"Pickup" Means Inside the Store, Not Curbside
This is a genuinely common point of confusion: Dollar General's DG Pickup service is free and lets you reserve a one-hour pickup window (or schedule up to three days out), but you have to go inside the store to collect it — when your order is ready, the DG App shows an "I'm ready" button that reveals your order's cubby location inside. It's not curbside in the traditional sense. Digital coupons are accepted on DG Pickup orders. For actual door-to-door delivery, Dollar General partners with DoorDash, covering more than 18,000 stores nationwide for same-day delivery.
