Albertsons stays open on Thanksgiving with shortened hours, similar to sister banner Safeway, and closes mainly for Christmas Day.
Part of the Same Family as Safeway
Albertsons is one of several grocery banners under Albertsons Companies, alongside Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, and others, and follows a similar holiday pattern: open on Thanksgiving with shortened hours (commonly around 6am to 3 or 4pm) rather than a full closure, with Christmas Day being the main full-year closure.
